Elliot Checinski serves as Executive Chef at LouVino on Mass Ave in Indianapolis, IN. Born in Columbus OH, Elliot grew up in Louisville where he began his career at the age of 15 working in various restaurants. After Chef Elliot graduated from Trinity Highschool in 2007, he began his studies at Sullivan University where he gained his Associate Degree in Culinary Arts Baking and Pastry in 2011. Elliot began his culinary career in the kitchen at Village Anchor and was quickly promoted to Sous Chef of the restaurant. In 2015, he was offered a new position as Executive Sous Chef in one of the most prestigious Steak Houses in Louisville, LeMoo. Elliot met Chef Tavis Rockwell in 2016 and made an exciting career transition to LouVino as Executive Sous Chef, then excelled up to Executive Chef, opening the LouVino in Fishers, IN and Mass Ave in downtown Indy, where he still leads the team today. Chef Elliot is a people first leader, sourcing drive and inspiration from the broader culinary industry. He has a passion for curating creative dishes from seasonal farm fresh produce from local farmers, making Chef Elliot’s menus at LouVino uniquely delicious. “When diners eat at LouVino. I want them to have a wonderful experience from start to finish. Having an amazing restaurant is much more than just delicious food. It starts at the host stand and ends with the servers last words. I want guest to feel like they want to come back before even leaving” says Chef Elliot. One of Chef Elliot’s favorite accomplishments was in 2020, where he was one of five Chefs at Sea, chosen globally for Jam Cruise 2020, which is a highly sought- after music festival on a 5-day Cruise.
